R&D Opportunities

To meet the extremely challenging needs of instrumentation in high energy physics, the members of HEPTech carry out R&D work on many different technology domains. The R&D generally being shared between different academic institutes, a participation to such projects is also open to partners from industry in order to benefit from a wide range of expertise for the development of market ready products. The participation in R&D projects is regulated in partnership agreements.

Silicon Photomultipliers (SiPM) and related technologies: SiPM devices represents the state-of-the-art in detection and counting of single photons. Particle Physics has pioneered the use  of SiPM devices and has a significant portfolio of dedicated technologies and advanced know-how.
